File extension hdd information
HDD files are disk files used by the Parallels Desktop application that allows Windows and Linux operating systems to run on Mac machines. The file formats are used to save all data running in virtualization mode in a system setting to a virtual disk. These files are exclusively used by the Parallels Desktop application and only this software can read and write usable files with this extension. Examples of these files that can be seen on virtual hard disks are app.hdd, data.hdd and the swap.hdd. These 3 files can also be used to create what are called ‘virtual appliances’.
